Tips Stopping Process From DOS Prompt
To stop the processes (applications and services) that are running on Windows I'm sure you often do it from the Windows Task Manager.
Besides these ways, there are other ways you can do that is with the DOS Prompt. The tips trick is as follows:
1. Sign in to dos prompt by typing cmd from the Start menu - Run.
2. Write tasklist and hit enter, it will show a list of running processes such as
3. Find the name of the process that you want to stop, then look for his PID number.
4. Suppose you want to stop the Firefox program, then write: tskill 1844, then hit enter.
